Beginning in June 2012 South Sound Outreach began managing the Statewide Health Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) for Pierce County. Our experience, reputation and dedicated staff make us a good fit for the SHIBA Program.

We have volunteers who can help you. They are part of the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA).
The SHIBA Program provides free information to Pierce County residents about healthcare coverage and access to improve the lives of residents, as well as to cultivate community commitment through partnership, service and volunteering.
SSO manages an outreach program with a counseling network of volunteers. Service delivery is coordinated through a multi‐site network of trained volunteers who provide one‐on‐one consultations to consumers in person, by telephone and through public presentations. VOLUNTEERS Needed -Please Call!
