South Sound Outreach Service’s (SSOS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency, mission is to provide outreach services to low-income seniors, disabled, and other similarly situated individuals. We connect individuals with existing programs they may need and we offer applications and assistance. Outreach is essential to many individuals and families that are not able to connect with available programs because of a wide-variety of physical, mental, and emotional reasons. SSOS and its sub-contractors are the only outreach services in Tacoma, Pierce and Kitsap counties that provide support services in locations convenient to their customers. SSOS is centrally located in the Upper Tacoma Area and provides outreach services by going to senior centers, meal sites, food banks and individual’s homes to connect clients with programs that significantly improve the quality of their lives.
